ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
Hay Lake Lodge Townhome Association exercises architectural control of its properties through oversight by an Architectural Review Committee which, in this case, is the Association Board of Directors.
The policies followed are consistent with those of a common interest community governed by Chapter 515B of Minnesota Statutes.
Essentially, no alterations to the exterior of any Association unit can be made without an approval in writing from the Board of Directors. Criteria for approval includes uniformity of various aesthetic characteristics, quality of materials, ease of maintenance and repair, adequate protection from liability and liens, and compliance with government laws, codes and regulations.
Various review procedures are in place which govern requests for alterations. Homeowners are asked to review these procedures prior to making requests to the Board of Directors. Remedies for violations of this policy are available to the Board under Minnesota statutes.
